Civil and Structural Services
UST’s civil and structural capabilities augment our mechanical division. Our team of experts perform every task the right way the first time and work closely with geotechnical, civil, and structural engineers. Many of our projects involve the development of excavation plans as well as site specific safety plans.
Civil services include:
- Site preparation and restoration
- Excavation work for utility road crossings or placement of underground pipelines
- Hillside grading to prevent erosion
- Removal or placement of concrete foundations or flatwork
- Installation or repair of retaining walls
- Installation of culverts and asphalt paving
Most all projects in an industrial facility have structural components. Some may be small and simple while others are large and complicated. We carefully follow the project plans to safeguard against any structural failures.
Our structural efforts include:
- The construction of pipe supports and elevated pipe ways
- Construction of elevated railroad loading docks
- Construction of vehicle or pedestrian bridges and equipment access platforms
- Construction of equipment shelters
- Base plates for pumps or process equipment
